Lauren Loden, Atlanta based artist and encaustic painter, reflects fluid seasons of wonder, loss, rebirth, and letting go.
Her love affair with creating art began at age five when she took watercolor lessons on the beaches of Charleston, South Carolina.
She is inspired by children, nature, and serendipitous moments of connection.
Movement fuels her art through water, clouds, and tree-filled southern landscapes in her impressionistic work.
Lauren is a member of American Women Artists, International Encaustic Artists, Atlanta Artists Center, and Encaustic Art Institute. She holds a bachelor's degree in fine art and English literature from Auburn University with a focus on cultural expression through language, literature, and art. She retired from a career in advertising and marketing to pursue life as a mother and artist.
